Then there is the autumn gift book, "A Thankful Harvest...Autumn Blessings of People, Places and Pumpkins."  The title describes it all. Like my other gift books, it will have recipes, crafts, trivia and short stories of God working in womens' lives.

My first book manuscript, "A Merry Christmas...Bring Back the Wonder," is in my editor's and the art department's expert hands now, and should be on the market next year around this time. I'm excited about it, and, of course I'll let you know of its debut.

Welcome. I am honored that you have chosen to spend a bit of your day with me.
One of my favorite things is giving, and going to, A Tea. I thought that it was probably a fad when the whole tea-mania started a few years back. I’m pleasantly surprised that teas are still popular. Whether it is a wistful escape for an afternoon or because those little Sandwiches and Pastries taste so yummy, I encourage you to try giving one if you haven’t already. I’ve included some of my favorite Recipes and hints for an enjoyable tea time.
I hope you have had time to linger and enjoy the pages and ideas within this website. My site will be changed as each season brings new joy and fresh inspiration, so please visit often.

I enjoy hearing from you. Please e-mail me at:

"A Happy Birthday...What's Age Got to Do With It?"  a book of birthdays; the fresh start to a new year's journey for each of us. Stories of memorable, and sometimes unusual, birthday celebrations are mixed with delectable cake recipes, party ideas and gift-giving tips. I get too much enjoyment out of painting party scenes and my husband is having too much fun trying all those cake recipes to call this work!
I 've been invited to share My Story  about my walk with God with other women. I enjoy including tips to make our life as career woman, wife, mother and/or homemaker more uncomplicated and pleasurable. As a professional civil engineer for twenty-five years, stepmother, grandmother of four, an author and illustrator, I reveal how to have peace within in a world that is without.
How wonderful the little things in life can be...
Take time to enjoy summer.
Pages of the calendar show it is summer, a most wonderful time of year here in the Pacific Northwest. The flower garden is more colorful than a painter's pallette; the vegetables are plump, bursting with the taste of sunshine. With the scent of freshly mown fields and jasmine, it is hard to remain indoors. So, why fight it?
I'm thankful for wireless computers and phones that allow me to work at the picnic table, all the while keeping an eye on the blueberry bushes for fine-feathered thieves that pluck the choicest berries before I can pick enough for preserves and pies. I have to admit, though, that they do serenade me with the prettiest songs while I work.
Work...that word doesn't aptly describe what I do for a living these days, as I am blessed to write and paint about all that I love.

God, for instance. I just started writing and illustrating two more women's gift books where I get to talk about God's blessings in womens' lives that I have met, either in person or by the wonder of the internet, all around the globe.
